17 Years of Tree City Recognition

Tarpon Springs has met the four overarching standards since 2007. By demonstrating increased levels of tree care during the 2023 year, the Arbor Day Foundation recognized Tarpon Springs with a Tree City USA program Growth Award. The city completed a detailed, spatial inventory (with GPS locations) of street trees and managed park trees within CRA, Greektown, and historic districts. The award plaque is located in the reception lobby of City Hall.
