  • Evaluate pedestrian safety
  • Rebrick roadway from N. Pinellas Ave. to N. Safford Ave
  • Repave from N. Safford Ave. to N. Ring Ave
  • Perform a lighting analysis
  • Replace reclaimed water and sanitary underground utilities along the project corridor

Please review each project description below and take the survey below to share your preferences with the City!

Alternative 1 (Replace surfaces, no other changes)

  • Consists of Rebricking the existing roadway segment from N. Pinellas Ave to Safford Ave (No Changes in roadway typical section width/dimensions)
  • Repaving from Safford Ave. to N. Ring Ave, as well as replacement of existing aging utility service lines along Orange St. within project limits.
  • No other improvements in terms of drainage, sidewalks, curb ramps, lighting, etc. will be made.

Alternative 2 (Replace surfaces, add landscaping)

  • This will include all the items listed in Option 1 & also the following additional items.
  • Updated roadway geometry for increased safety with bulb outs, improved green areas for landscaping opportunities, lighting assessment and addition of street lighting for safety if deemed necessary, and potential drainage and sidewalk improvements.
  • Due to space constraints, parallel parking spaces are set to a minimum of 8-ft wide and through lanes are 9-ft each.

Alternative 3 (Replace surfaces, add landscaping, widen road)

  • Provides the same options listed in #1 & #2 with the additional of the following.
  • This option widens the roadway typical section along the segment from Hibiscus St. to Safford Ave. to provide on-street parking on both the North and South sides as well as providing standard 12-ft lanes.
