City Branding Project
PURPOSE
The goal of this project is to create a strong brand identity and to identify a clear marketing strategy and plan for the City. This branding will allow the City to represent itself cohesively across all its online platforms, signage, and print material. This project will also develop a marketing plan with long-term and short-term strategic and tactical recommendations for promoting the City, solidifying the brand, and delivering the message of the brand promise to the residents, businesses, and visitors of Tarpon Springs. The marketing plan will include plans for reaching summer vacationers, snowbirds, and year-round campaigns and website enhancements to promote Tarpon Springs and all it has to offer.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMNT
The City of Tarpon Springs is putting community first with the launch of a new Community Engagement Survey, inviting all residents to share their thoughts, experiences, and ideas to help showcase the true spirit of Tarpon Springs.
As part of a larger effort to develop a strong brand and a targeted marketing plan, the City is inviting citizens to participate in a brief online survey. The results will help shape the creation of a clear, meaningful slogan inspired by the voices, heritage, and experiences of the community.
In addition to the survey, community focus groups are also being conducted with individuals representing categories across the City, including Nonprofits, Small Businesses, Long Time Residents, New Residents, Youth, Tourism & Hospitality, and more.
When utilizing our website, social media, and print materials to connect with current residents and attract visitors to our City, a cohesive and strong marketing brand is essential. Good branding helps residents more easily identify information from the City, while also providing our marketing efforts with the tools needed to market the City to new groups, including a younger demographic.
This initiative is being conducted in partnership with 365° Total Marketing, an award-winning agency specializing in destination marketing and municipal branding. This initiative reflects the City’s commitment to carefully planning, building, and executing the plan for the future of the community.
